The 75 Hard Challenge is a mental toughness challenge centered around physical fitness, discipline, and consistency.
I was always in great shape and never wanted to do this because " I don't need it". But listening to an Andy Frisella podcast (the creator of the challenge) it was clear that I did.
"How many times have you said this year is going to be the year"?
Thats real and true, havent hit my stride.
Started to cultivate Discipline and Consistency.
Took me 103 days failed and then restarted with no gap.
"I'm going to open one of the greatest ******** ********* in the world, that is my Dream."
Filled out 3 pages in my journal for this.
The whole journey is about self discovery. You may think you know your dream or purpose but only discover what you truly want as you step into things and flirt with your desires.
I wrote down 5 current dreams, the one I started taking more notes on and mapping out on the spot was The Disney Dream. An Idea to take my family on their Dream Disney Vacation. Our first family vacation EVER.
"Disney Trip Family - Reserve either hotel 2 years in advance then cancel? Get price quotes- get pamphlets - watch videos."
Had a TikTok hit 100K views - and got my passport.
At this time I was spending a lot of time in the city showing people how they could get closer to their Dream.
Talked to 1000's but 100's in depth and put out about 50-60 Dream Videos
The quest to raise $17,891 and take my family on their dream disney vacation by helping people get closer to their dreams!
Scary at the moment but a small hurdle.
It's hard to swallow and your food feels like it gets stuck in your throat.
Treatment is lifelong...pills/surgery - I went all natural.
To heal this:
Gargle Alkaline water and baking soda after each meal.
Eliminate all high acidic foods - only eat foods with a 5.5+ PH
Eat single ingredient foods only - zero additives
Austin Goh- "How to naturally prevent LPR the silent reflux in just 3 minutes" A self massage on Youtube.
The Wipeout Diet Plan Course ($67)
Don't eat 3-4 hours before bed.
Sit upright when you eat
Chew well - smaller portions
In 3 days I was 75% better
But it took me 2 months to get to these solutions.
Was featured in Explore CLT's Dreamers and Doers interview series. Was picked as 1 out of 16 of The top entrepreneurs, business leaders, Dreamers and Doers in the city of Charlotte.
My first big loss, my grandpa was such a great man. Got much closer to him the last 5 years. His death was unexpected, Tough! Shared several posts about his impact, and the deeper appreciation built for Life.
Hired my first coach for a 1 on 1 session.
Hired a photographer and videographer to work with me for the remaining 2 months of the dream.
Wrote out my first contract and sold my 1st coaching package.
Back to back months and two of my favorite people on the planet, gone from the world. Always supported me, loved me, spoiled me and sent me so much love. These are the things you cant account for when you plan out your year.
Shoot for the moon and you will land among the stars...
I never set out to fail but technically, I did. I raised $11,507 of the total $17,891.
Everything planned was not achieved, but within that failure was a form of success.
I set out to give my family their 1st "taste of the good life", something so beyond their norms that it inspires them to pursue more! Success.
They were picked up in a stretch limo.
We stayed in a 10 bedroom Disney themed house with a pool, hottub, movie theatre, and game room. They enjoyed the life and had their minds blown.
Another goal was to take my family on our 1st family vacation EVER. Success!
My brother and sister flew on an airplane for the first time ever.
We made it to Disney World. We went to Magic Kingdom for a christmas party, Hollywood Studios for another christmas party and animal Kingdom for a day of fun.
We went on rides, watched shows, took in the lights.
They all got souvenirs, we ate good food, watched movies, played games, hung out in the hottub. We went on ferrys, trains, skyliners.
We all went on the Little Mermaid ride, the one that inspired it all. They got the taste of the magic moment.
In that way it was a success.
What was the tradeoff?
We didn't stay in any Disney Resorts. The center of the trip was around the Polynesian Bungalow, the best of the best. But with time ticking had to make a small pivot. Thankfully where we ended up was more enjoyable and better for everyone. No animal Kingdom Resort.
They all wanted to go to the beach and we simply ran out of time.
We wanted to go to all 4 parks but only made it to 3. Epcot was missed in the adventure.
We planned to do character dinners One beauty and the beast the other a LIlo breakfast, both were missed. Besides convenience food we did no main Disney Restaurants.
WE were supposed to have a fancy dinner and did not. Instead everyone got to doordash whatever they wanted.
We had taco bell, wingstop, chinese food, chipotle, and Subway. Hey, they picked haha!
Overall within the shortcomings we still achieved.
Many people asked me what happens if you don't make it? I always knew we would make it.
I never knew how, but it was real as soon as I decided and committed to moving forward.
I got a ton of love and a little bit of hate. I asked for money one time! I was at a Dierks Bentley concert and one sign was working, so I just started pitching the Dream. It failed.
I came up with other ways to earn money, but even without asking I was sent thousands of dollars total from friends, followers and strangers.
For that I am extremely grateful. Thank you for being apart of a Dream come true.
I hope that you can be inspired to chase your dreams. Those things that are on your bucket list. The things that you hope to get to "someday" or "one day".
Towards the end of this journey I took massive action and did crazy things.
I documented them all on Instagram but am going to make one more list below this one.
Thanks for following the Disney Dream and being apart. Remember that adventure s out there.
It may seem like ther are gaps on this timeline. There were many things that happened along the year that fit into the dream!
