In December I entered a contest. In January it was announced that I won!
You had to hold up the Little Gold Book of Yes Attitude and explain how it had given you a positive attitude.
The prize was a $30,000 trip to fly out to Charlotte and to be mentored by Jeffrey Gitomer, King of Sales. I was put up in a hotel, I received all 13 of Jeffreys books, I was a guest on the podcast Sell or Die, and I received mentorship from Jeffrey Gitomer.
It was a great experience. Coincidentally enough, Jeffrey is also the author of The Little Red book of Selling which is the best selling sales book of all time. This book was the FIRST of 6 that I read after my concussion.
Finishing up the year the winning streak continued I was awarded the Enterprise Rent A Car all around Sales Potential Scholarship. I also won two other honors the same day.
In April I returned as a guest on Sell or Die for a 2nd time to talk about my 5 Keys to Success. I believe this was big because it helped solidify the setup that is coming. On the podcast I talked about how I was trying to land a job with the Chicago Bulls. They shouted me out to the Bulls and joked if the Bulls wouldn't hire me, they would.
In March we had a random overnight blizzard. This isn't relevant at all but it's not every day you make a 7 foot snowman!
Nearing graduation I still I had no job. I had offers from insurance companies but was adamant about doing something I LOVED. I was heavily pursuing the Chicago Bulls for a Ticket Sales position and made a late run. I broke through the noise and was promised the next interview if their last offer was not accepted, but It was accepted and that door closed.
As destiny would have it the door to work for Buy Gitomer in Charlotte opened up, and I accepted an offer to work there!
I graduated with my Bachelors in Marketing and Professional Sales and began my transition. I moved to Charlotte and got settled. During this time I decided it was time to start my personal brand.
That night I bought the domain for ZackKrupp.com
At this time I was still heavily involved with Vasayo. In November I attended a business boot camp in Dallas. After the conference a group of us met up to play basketball and during the game I sprained my wrist bad. But what's significant is what happened a day later. It's important to mention that during this conference many people successful in business shared their testimony of coming to Jesus and the miracles that followed.
Around this same time I had been learning about the power of thought. And how you can alter your bodies chemistry through thought. When I sprained my wrist I figured it was time to test out this theory because I heard of all the testimonials of its success.
On the plane ride home I was talking, yes talking to my wrist through thought, telling it to heal. Envisioning it super naturally healing because I told it to do so but nothing happened.
When I got home it was in so much pain I couldn't even grip my toothbrush, I brushed with the other hand. When I got in the shower I decided to pray. I prayed and asked Jesus to heal my wrist in Jesus name. I declared that it was already done and thanked him for doing it.
At that moment I experienced an instant miracle. I felt a calm warm wave of energy start at the tips of my fingers on my injured arm and it moved all the way up to my elbow and stopped.
In disbelief I was thinking, no way?! I started slowly wiggling my wrist and I had more movement. I started aggressively wiggling my wrist and I had no restrictions. 95% of the pain was gone. It was amazing!!!!!!!
I vowed to remember this day and never doubt god again..
Miracles are real. Angels are real. Jesus is real.
Working for Jeffrey Gitomer I was fortunate to have a lot of big wins.
My main role was selling The Gitomer Learning Academy online sales training. Here are a few wins and firsts that happened in that time.
Made a $50,000 sale with an $80,000 speaking gig for Jeffrey.
Landed top entrepreneurs on the podcast or in our office like Andy Frisella, Grant Cardone, Jack Canfield, Charlie Rocket, David Metlzer, and Dallin Larsen.
Interviewed sales managers a handful of times on The Sell or Die podcast alongside Jeffrey Gitomer.
Spoke on stage in major cities for several sales events.
Offered my first solo speaking gig on overcoming hardship
When I first met Jeffrey before I was hired I shared my desire to one day be a top keynote speaker.
Within months of working there the opportunity manifested itself.
Jeffrey went on a speaking tour in Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Georgia.
The day before the Chicago seminar I was asked to speak on stage and share about the program we sell. That was to about 100 people.
In the next city I was told to make my own speech and by the 3rd city I had a more polished routine.
I got to speak to 45, 100, 150, and 200 people!
Proof of concept of sharing your goals and dreams.
I started my own book collection.
I created a vision wall and started dreaming BIGGER.
I got access to my first airport lounge (Centurion - free food and drinks)
I reached out to Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul. I shared how his information helped me and what my path looked like. He told me at this time " Zack, I believe you will be a billionaire".
Ate the most expensive steak of my life.
I discovered Napoleon Hill - the father of personal development.
Witnessed one of my best friends earn $10,000 in a month. I was very proud and happy for him and then inspired to do the same.
At an event I met Lil Wayne's former manager who listened to me speak. He liked my style and recommended I start taking on a bigger role. Doing reality TV, and charging $5K for speaking engagements. It didn't materialize but was interesting timing.
That year I started writing my first book,
I also started creating my first course teaching about credit. I got 90% done and shelved it because I realized it didn't align with my long term goals.
It wasnt perfect but all I know is I was growing!
In the back half of the year I started planning what would end up being one of my first bigger Massive Action Plans.
I'm in love with Christmas, I wanted to take in all the best sights and scenes and decided last second, why not this year?
So I booked a loaded christmas trip to NYC.
I knew very little about NYC but recall the fitness influencer I followed, Jen Selter, always hyping up the city.
Being the dreamer I am and thinking she was an attractive gal I decided it's going to be a great trip. I decided to shoot my shot. I sent her a DM and everyday started posting a personalized countdown letting her know it was only #25DaysTill #TheChristmasTour and I was trying to meet up and get some ice cream lol.
As the time got closer the plan intensified. At one point I got 82 friends to comment on her latest picture to bring awareness to the plan.
I'll tell you now that it never did happen. But her sister and roommate DM'd me a few times, Jen replied to me in the DM once. And I still had a magical Christmas adventure in NYC.
What I proved true is that you can get anyone's attention through Massive Action. Jen has over 12 million followers on Instagram and everyone said it wouldn't work out, but in a way it did. I built awareness.
